Electronic Countermeasures (also known as “jammers”) used to defeat Radio Controlled Improvised Explosive Devices (RCIEDs) are widely deployed. There are many different makes and models of jammer with different capabilities. Low-grade equipment is fixed function whereas higher grade equipment is software defined and can be configured to meet the end-user requirements.
Defining the risks.
We are highly experienced in defining the threat and helping customers to manage risk when deploying jammers in different scenarios.
Our laboratory is fully equipped to enable us to create jamming waveforms for any make and model of ECM. With all jamming waveforms tested and assured within the laboratory, we help customers perform field trials of their capability and then optimise the waveforms to improve performance.
An essential Service.
For Programme ManagersPurchasing a jammer is only a small part of creating a capability. Integral to our waveform service is a documented assessment of risk, collateral damage, interoperability, public safety and other critical factors, which all must be considered for the jammer to be effective. For Operators and End UsersOur ECM waveform service is suitable for EOD units, Force Protection and protection of VIPs and Critical National Infrastructure. Where possible we work directly with operators, configuring their jammers to match their operating procedures.
